What I have come to understand through breathwork, somatic release, and parts work is that many of the emotions we think we have moved beyond are often still waiting patiently beneath the surface. Not because they want to hurt us, but because they want to be heard.

The decision to step away was never about a lack of love. If anything, I think that is what makes grief so complicated. Sometimes we can love people deeply and still recognize that continuing to participate in the relationship is causing harm. Sometimes choosing emotional protection is the most loving thing we can do for ourselves.

2025 was our year to shed what no longer served us. 2026 is about forward movement with intention
